| Senior Member | On the kids pc I keep getting a "CPU Fan Error" Ok the M/B is a Asus PTGD1-LA it was working be for I cleaned the dust off the fan. The Fan is working but I get the Error everytime I start it. (then it shuts down) It has a 4 pin fan on it. I have tryed putting a normal 3 pin cpu fan on it but I still get the same error. Is there a way to trick the bios to get in to change the settings for the warning ? |

![]() | Have you made sure you re connected it to the CPU Fan connector? And not another connection on the MB. Have you felt the heatsink to see if it is hot at all. You can change the settings/warnings for your fan in bios ![]()
