Default Best place to get a Sony Vaio Notebook?

Guys, where's the best place to pick up a good deal on a new Vaio? I went to HN yesterday who were said to have up to 40% off laptops, and they wouldn't discount the Vaio's 1 cent!!

I often wonder if any model you wanted to purchase had no discount but all the others had 40% off, always seems to happen to me that way at least

I think in this case the 40% might have been on Toshiba laptops that had the problem Sandy Bridge chipsets though, I do remember seeing something like that advertised (they might not have mentioned the part about the faulty chipsets)

I don't care about HN, just want to hear from anyone here who knows where I can get a good deal on a VAIO.

    Try:

Just type in the model your after and hit search.

    Cheers,
    Nando.
Go to Google Maps and click “Get Directions.” Get directions leading from China to Taiwan, and look at instruction #48.

Thanks Nando, nothing there (only rrp's basically). Thought someone here may know the sort of markup sony have on their notebooks, which should assist with negotiating with retailers.

Sony prices are insane you pay a premium for the name

Go for a nice lenevo/IBM the corporate models are much better if you can get your hands on one of those

Well IBM is also the best option you may chose . I think the price and quality are comparable with Sony Notebook . So why you do not go for IBM .
