Samsung is one of the best brands especially when it comes to warranty, and make sure it's wide WXGA screen.

just bought an ACER 22" and im happy with it. Great for movies and stuff and plenty of room for word or spreadsheet work, graphic work, picture and graphics are great. Has some good settings on it too.

They were $699 retail but are now down to about $350 from most places. Got mine from JB HI-FI as i had a voucher for $100 so it cost me $260 all up. Chose this one because of the 3 yr warrenty / looks/ specs etc.

The Asus looks quite good to and so does the samsung but i like Acer, not too fancy but for the price very good.

GoodLuck

It depends what size you want and your budget. They are priced pretty well these days.

Yep true Andrew
I am very very fussy with the look of a monitor...
I'm dont want to spend more than say 300 and i'm looking at at least a 19in as my current monitor is 19in and i dont want to go smaller.
looking at a few websites and yes lcd's are really well priced...just gotta do some research and find one i like

I bought a Chimei 22" a year or maybe 2 years ago. I rarely use it as I dont own a desktop , but if I have to fix someones PC I need a monitor.

I am quite happy with it , I plug my laptop in occasionally if I have a bit of work to do. I believe they have dropped a lot in price since I bought it ( I think I paid just under $400 at the time ).

I can remember paying $650 for my 17' , how times ( and prices change )

I'd agree with you there 3XX , it looked enormous when I got it compared to the 17. Plugged in a little digital TV box and used it as a cheap LCD TV as well.

Hey Helen I am hoping you are in Sydney, so you can check this out.
Umart Online Store
Look at the Samsung 22" $330 it's a very nice one.
BTW I wouldn't go for the 19" because soon they are going to be out like the 17" so beat it by getting the 22" IMHO.

Artec T3. Its about the size of a business card but obviously wider.

There was a fault with them , but I cant remember what it was. I picked them up cheap and got my money back here stating the fault.
