Google earth

Hi,
I installed google earth pro to have a look around melbourne and noticed that
the images are like 3 years old? (approx) is this normal or should the images
be more recent?

Some areas are more up to date than others, Melbourne is one of the others.

yeah, I realize probably for security reasons
they can’t update too frequently, but images
that are years old? some people wouldn’t be
able to see there houses or developed areas.

I know mines a fair bit out of date. Firstly its summer (no grass on the oval), and there is a house behind my place. There hasn't been a house on that block for at least two years.

Maybe I should put something on the roof so I know when they change it
