is a downloadable piece of Windows® software that starts Android apps on your PC. This free Android emulator accesses the Google Apps Store Play or Amazon App Store and runs the programs in full-screen mode, if desired. You also can rotate them. BlueStacks App Player comes pre-loaded with several Android apps (including FaceBook, Bloomberg News, GSN Casino, Flow Free, Fruit Ninja, Jetpack Joyride, Ruzzle, Rage Of Bahamut, Fort Conquer, Subway Surfers, The Simpsons Tabbed Out, Marvel (War Of Heroes), Temple Run 2, Drag Racing, kik, Insta and iHeartRadio). More Andoid apps can be downloaded using the "Featured Apps" channel provided with the software. And of course you can install any .APK-file you got from somewhere other (is a little bit complicated though).
IMHO best of all is there is no need to install a virtual machine first of all.
BlueStacks App Player installs as a gadget on the desktop.
I have this emulator in use now since 3 months. For me the main purpose to use it is to test Android apps before installing/uninstalling them on mobile device. No severe negatives experienced so far.
BTW: My kids like to play the Android games on PC ...

Forgot to mention it of course fully integrates into Windows 8
Hi, this may sound like a silly question but do you have any idea how to install this with only 1gb of RAM.
I tried to install it but wasn't allowed unfortunately because of my lack of enough RAM. Any tips?
AFAIK your PC needs at least 1GB RAM to sucessfully run BlueStacks emulator. Hence stop all applications not required before starting BlueStacks. Note that BlueStacks installation requires at least 2GB of physical memory. If you have less the installation will actually stop.
I tried to install it and had to upgrade 2 GB,now it comes up "unknown Videocard".
I use a 10" netbook from Aldi, AKOYA.
Any idea?
That's a MS Windows' problem. Go to the graphics card makers website and search for your model and download and install the most recent drivers.
To quickly find out what graphics card you have:
start->run->"dxdiag"->OK
click on the "Display" tab.
