Question is internet explorer 7 still the best web browser?

Is internet explorer 7 still the best web browser? I ask this because although I haven't used Internet explorer 7 myself. I have tried the latest Firefox v3.01 and Opera v9.5 and they both have annoyances that make me not want to use them.

Firefox

Good
easy to delete bookmarks
Easy to Delete internet privacy data.

Bad
Harder To configure options using console
Does not set itself as default browser correctly
Have to load Firefox first before using it.
Does not set as default browser in windows explorer.

Opera

Good
Easy to configure
Easy tabs
Sets itself as default browser correctly
Can access/open opera from anywhere in winows explorer address bar
"Paste and go" copy and load web addresses into address bar in one step.

Bad
Yahoo webmail does not work at all properly.
Hard/time consuming to delete bookmarks
Hard/time consuming to delete internet privacy data.

Or are there internet browsers other then the big three, Oprea, Firefox and IE7 that are worth a look?

Yep ... Thats About The Extent Of It....

The most popular browser is Firefox. In fact Firefox has a bigger user base in Australia than anywhere else in the world.

IE sucks and has always sucked, like most things micro$oft except XP.

Firefox and all its wonderful plugins are superior.
This is a pic of 2.0.0.11 with some plugins, you can customize firefox to pretty well however you wish.

Firefox all the way for me as well.

I can't fault it apart from the fact that versions above 2.0 don't support ActiveX.

Since I don't visit many pages that require it, I tend not to worry about it. Firefox's interface and user-friendliness far outweigh this minor problem.

And besides, I think the fox logo rocks There's just something cool about it.

These are issues related to settings in your Microsoft OS or IE, not a problem of Firefox.
Try to associate .htm and .html extensions with Firefox and disable IE as default browser.

I find Firefox extremely easy to configure.
Opera can be tricky to get some plugins to work but it is my first choice for general browsing.

IE for banking, sign ups and online funds transfer is not an option for me.
Going online with a Microsoft OS with its open ports, neither.
I advise to use several browsers and use one browser solely for money matters, in my case Firefox where I just click <clear private data> before and after the transaction.

I am happy with ie7+vista+fast machine, and really don't have a need for another browser, and the extra security holes.

Researchers disclose Firefox 3 flaws

If you have a crap computer, with minimal ram, and surf many hours, then I guess you will benefit for firefox’s memory management.

Firefox 3 Memory Benchmarks and Comparison

I guess, each to their own.

If you have a fast machine with crap bloated slow Vista you really could benefit from firefox.
My comparison for vista is like strapping a 57 chev on the roof of your Lamborghini.
Each to their educated own.

don't forget "the principle" of the matter ->gets on high horse<--- Mircosoft is evil destroyed many a good thing IMHO so firefox could be pink and purple and I'd still use it, again this is off topic in so far as technical benefits but some times you need to pick a team.
