Video converters

Hi all
I have downloaded some streaming video through real player which is a flv file and I want to convert it to avi so that a friend can watch it.
Which would be the best and easiest software to use?

Use it to convert FLV to Mobile, Ipod and avi works well, allows you to set the audio frequency and framerate which is handy if you want to compress the video further.
