| Junior Member | Ok. I have read the many posts regarding cloning or copying a gold card. I have a working card that I want to clone but cant seem to get it to work. I have a Jaycar programmer and have followed the following steps. 1: get a blank gold card 2: program it with a:GFGold v2.2.6 Dual No Updating Coco.hex b:GFGold v226 eeprom.hex 3: get a coppy of ggedit 4: put the working gold card in 5: select read 6: select save 7: dont close it and now put in the one you just made 8: select read 9: select load and load the file you just saved 10: select write The questions I have are: In step 2 are you programming the "a" into the pic or eeprom? and what postion does the switch on the programmer need to be in for "a" & "b"? In step 10 are you programming the pic or eeprom and what postion does the switch need to be in? Thanks in advance |

a:GFGold v2.2.6 Dual No Updating Coco.hex - Loaded after eeprom has been written, switch out. b:GFGold v226 eeprom.hex - First after bootloader has been written it will ask you to load the eeprom file...this is it, switch in. Step 10 = switch in

Thanks for your reply Satguru. Just so I understand it correctly let me just make sure I understand. Do program the blank card I: do step "a" first with switch out Then do step "b" with switch in Then what do I do with the saved file from the original card?? Thanks in advance

![]() | No, Do the smartcard wizard in ICprog, this will guide you through it. It automatically loads bootloader to Pic (switch out). Then asks for eeprom file, you browse your computer for it, then program it (switch in). It will then ask for the PIC to overwrite the bootloader file, browse for it then load it to the card (switch out again). Your gold card should be working. So in easy words: Smartcard Wizard - ICprog 1. Bootloader (automatically loaded - switch out) 2. Eeprom - GFGold v226 eeprom.hex 3. PIC - GFGold v2.2.6 Dual No Updating Coco.hex 4. Go get your saved GGEdit file, then write it to the card with Ggedit (switch in). |

![]() | I have just done a few gold cards and found the best way if you have a working card is, 1. Using Icprog with switch out read working card. 2. Put in blank card and write what you just read. 3. Using Gedit or Lmedit with switch in read working card and save file. 4. Put in the new card load saved file then write to card. Card should be now working if not erase your blank card first. This works every time for me. Cheers Badass
