Casino : A bit of fun for members

I have been asked to install this for members and have just finished so if you come across any bugs please post here. Note , I do not provide support on how to use it

The Casino link is on the toolbar , note I have so far only installed it on the default style and will install on Black once I see there are no issues on default.

The amount of money members have depends on your forum participation. Money is given to members for posts , new threads , reputation , referrals etc. If you are not a very active member you will either need to become more active or become a good card player

Casino is one of the most popular free Vbulletin addons.

There's nothing wrong with games, it's when their availability is promoted to such an extent that it clutters everything else.

I was asked in why I posted about the Casino there. I agree the Casino has nothing to do with Satellites. That was my point entirely. It's a shame there's now Casino references all through the forum wherever you go.

It's not my forum, you guys do what you like. But it's noise.

Facebook starts out simple and functional but its screen gets progressively with plug-ins. It's notorious for it. That's all I meant.

Games are great, games in Austech are great. I just questioned the aesthetics of a panel reference that stretches the vertical height of posts throughout the rest of the forum, for all users regardless of whether they're interested in the game or not. That was all. The only reason it irks me is because user-interface design is one of my things. Most people couldn't give a rats arse about such things, I accept that, just as many people are quite happy to leave their litter laying about

Fair comment I suppose, but,
I've never been to a Casino or on line site, but played these Harmless free card games on a forum a couple of years ago.
I believe they have a way of harvesting the addicts' email addresses as I'm increasingly being peppered with emails offering free start up cash etc.

So the word " casino cash " is " noise " and haunts you all through the forum because its in your profile ? What about the words " thanks " and " thanked " that are also in your profile ? Location ? Join Date ? Rep Power...surely thats another haunter as well ? Like your above mentioned post , they all have nothing to do with Satellite either.

Do we have to rename it just plain " cash " to please people , even though the only place you can spend it is in fact in the casino ? Do we need to run a custom script so it shows up as " Sat Dollars " for when people are in the Satellite section or " Buy Sell Trade dollars " when they are in the BST forum even though no one can actually spend them there and can only spend them in the Casino ?

I dont think so.

I dont have a problem with someone saying they dont like something , even though they dont even have to use it. I do have a problem with people going off half cocked because they saw something and didnt know what it was.

The satellite section is part of the Austech site , not a seperate identity and never has been.

I am still at a total loss as to what you think Facebook has to do with anything here.....have you ever visited Facebook and seen what it is ?

What crap ! So you are now claiming Austech is selling or will be selling or passing on your email address to some company that you got a spam email off ? What you believe and what is actually fact are 2 entirely different things , its unfortunate that you try and influence people over something you have NFI about.

Unfortunately there wont be a next time when I am asked to do a favor around here so that should give people a reason to whinge when something breaks and the forum is down for a week because I wont touch it. Its not worth the effort.
