No you cannot use the UBI box as those boxes are blocked by UBI from being able to scan in new free to air channels, specifically turkplus.
To watch turkplus you have to get a cheap FTA sateliite reciever and then you will be able to tune the channel in on that.

If I want to use both a UBI box to watch UBI stuff, and a Humax to watch the Turkplus stuff, what do I need? I have tried a 2-way splitter to no avail. I can watch each individually, but not together. Do I have to change the LNB to a dual output LNB? Do I need some kind of multiswitch? Is it 'cause of a difference in polarity between UBI & Turkplus? That is, one on vertical and the other on horizontal? Haven't done this stuff for a while and I don't have the equipment readily available to do trial and error.

Anyway, any advice is always welcome....

If they are different polarities on the same sat you will need a dual output LNB and then a separate cable running to each box from the LNB. I hope that helps. Do a google for dual LNB's.

...just had a look on Lyngsat and it looks like it is definitely a polarity thing. Turkplus is on Vertical while UBI is on Horizontal. The folks aren't fussed about watching both at the same time, so what I'm going to try, before heading down the path of a Twin Output Dual Polarity LNB and more cabling, is to try and use the LNB in and out of the Humax and just switch one box on at a time, depending on which one they want to watch.

Just out of curiosity, would a diplexor work? That is, twin output LNB into a diplexor. Then out the diplexor on the other end and into each box.

nope. Dual LNB with separate cable runs to each reciever.

Thanks guys. It wasn't the cost that I was trying to avoid. I have a spare twin output sitting gathering dust. It was the running of a second length of cable that I wanted to avoid. I don't fancy the idea of crawling thru a crawl space in 40 degree temperatures. Oh well, hopefully will cool down by the end of the week....
