    Default Foxtel IQ2 Help

    Looking for a little help on transferring my movies etc from
    iq2 to either another hdd dvd recorder or to my pc
    Prefer pc if i can connections please
    Also can you connect a sata hdd to the sata outlet on the iq2?
    If i do a y splitter from the dish to my humax in bedroom can i receive the fox signal and change channels or do i still need another card for the humax
    Or how to hook up the humax to receive the signal in bedroom

    not much you can do with fox box. IFAIK your only chance is to capture analog out via capture card on your pc or use you DVD recorder. Still, not sure if the signal is not copy protected (microvision or whatever it is called)

    To have the humax running fox, you need to learn about cs (card sharing).

    I thought the whole idea was what was on either IQ or Mystar, STAYED on the HDD and was NOT transferrable, record off the AV leads to the TV, maybe if Macrovision isnt there.
    As for another room, even if you could get the Humax to work, you would need to take the card from one (IQ) to the Humax as it wont work as the signal is encrypted but if you had a card for the Humax as well as the IQ, you need a quad LNB or a Multiswitch and cabling IF you tried to use both the IQ and the Humax at once.
    If not, then an AV room sender with an IR repeat and away you go.
