    What is even MORE intereesting is that although I have not received Confirmation from Foxtel direct, a instaler/freind told me that with the introduction of the IQ HD,units that Foxtel will be phasing out all the older standerd UEC/Pace boxes and providing all customers with the basic IQ set top box.

    Any excuse to up the charges by another $10.

    foxtel has been to the Monty Burns school of customer service.

    I'm willing to bet some manager decided it wasn't worth paying the systems engineers double time to work in the wee hours of the morning.

    So that is what happened last night, wasn't watching but saw the box leds all light up for a while before resetting.

    they don't care- there is no competition as optus just rolled over a few years ago - foxtel can do whatever they want and the paying customers can just bend over and take it

    It ws either something they had done previously, and were trying to undo, or another set of fiddling with NDS...either way, poor form, silly time to press the button and great way to get yourself in the press in the worst possible way.
