Based on my 2 X 2 GB now at $44 per Month, could you even wildly guess what a plan (300GB) would cost via Ipstar Internet?
Plus I think if I took that much data it would knock off half of their customers.

Yes, please don't rub it in.
Gordon if you want a shock just check out the pricing of the NBN on satellite.

You can check out the pricing here

Hope they don't make us change as satellite is the only way I'll be getting broadband, Pay TV & FTA (VAST) here.

Your ISP will already be offering NBN via satellite on IPSTAR as Activ8 are.

Austar/Foxtel have absolutely no competition in most rural areas from broadband TV.
    Cheers,
    Tiny

You can lead a person to knowledge, but you can't make them think
If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem.

Those current plans are based on the interim satellite setup. It has a tiny fraction of the capacity provided by the two NBN dedicated satellites that will go up around 2015.
Only when they go up will you see some large quota plans available.

FetchTV is also available for those who have internet, looks like foxtels basic pakage with a few addons, like always no sport, only setanta and soccerclub.tv

only a few ISP offer it though, think its an IPTV service.

Do you have mobile phone reception with Telstra/Optus/Vodafone where you are ? Mobile broadband is cheaper than those prices.
