Hi folks,
For I gave a at the weekend covering some of the neat things you can do with Software Defined Radio. In particular, I spoke about some of my recent projects that employ GNU Radio: , and (more relevant here) creating a satellite communications demodulator using blind signal analysis.
I’ve uploaded a video of the talk and would like to share it with you (better to watch on YouTube at maximum res):
[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vn-dpUegUDQ]Ruxcon 2011: Hacking the wireless world with Software Defined Radio - YouTube[/ame]
If you wish to skip to a specific section (e.g. sat comms), just open the description pane on the video’s page and jump to a time in the topic list.
Hope you get something out of it. All comments welcome (also on teh Twitterz: )!

Great talk.. Really interesting. Got me all inspired to build some kit and get playing.
Thanks for putting this up, I did see it on another site as well. I'm an old school RF monkey that was trained back in the analogue days so this was really interesting and also inspired to get into the digital modes. Playing with some ACARS decoding at the moment and are looking at getting a ADS-B receiver. Also looking around at SDR's as well. Impressed with the telem stuff you demonstrated with the Optus birds.
