Satellite equipment in Townsville? Had a friend ask me where he can buy satellite gear (dish, roof mount, Lnb, etc)
Did a google but only found the one place, kristal. Most stuff is a bit pricey.
He is heading over on wednesday.

Was hoping to get somewhere in or near Townsville as postage would take too long. He is only in town for 5 days.

Can anyone confirm if kristal sell roof mounts as they dont have them on their webpage.

Assuming he is driving... just bring the gear from wherever he is coming from.
But to answer your question, almost any aerial installer will have basic sat gear. If your after a bit more specialised stuff... call ahead and see if they can get it in.
Most electrical wholesalers also stock sat and aerial gear, again usually basic stuff.
What exactly are you trying to do in the 5days????

Well we didnt know what you were after. Sat gear ranges from basic Austar/VAST stuff to C-band with motors, multiswitches, and diseqc and commercial gear.
But yeah, for simple installs; most aerial guys and some electrical wholesalers will have most basic stuff.

Even if Kristal doesn't have roof mount Townsville is the second biggest city in the state, there are two Haymans, Lawrence and Hanson, Ideal Electrical and CNW to choose from for some of your more ordinary fittings that aren't satellite only. Guess where I live? About three blocks away from three of those stores.
If I ever want I can get enough gear from a local electrical wholesaler to install standard VAST/Austar to one outlet. And the town I live in isnt exactly big, or even on the scale compared to Townsville. Someone other than one shop in Townsville, and probably over a dozen shops will have standard satellite roof mounts.

Didnt actually know townsville was that big. Hence when I searched for TV gear it only come up with the one place (kristal)
Will just tell him to look around tomorrow.
