Default IQ2 HD Set Top Box

I have been travelling for many years using my old Foxtel box without problems. Currently I am away with my recently upgraded IQ2 HD box. I have only one input connected from a single output LNB [at home I have a duel output LNB connected to inputs 1 & 2 [it has four inputs]. I can receive all the Foxtel channels except the FTA channels - 7, 9, 10 etc.
I had presumed that the second LNB input was for recording whilst watching another channel. Can anybody offer an explanation as to why I can't receive these channels using one dish input? [don't tell me that they are region locked - the satellite has no way of knowing where I am!]
When selecting any of these channels the "no signal" message appears. Could this bouquet use the second input?

Because it's designed to have signal present at both inputs.

Only inputs 1 and 2 are used.

Most Foxtel channels are on a horizontal transponder and the FTA and some on demand channels are on a vertical transponder.

The iQ needs both H & V separately from the dual LNB to operate correctly.

In addition to the channels, there are data signals and the decoder alternates where it looks for those signals on both LNB inputs

If it doesn't find those signals when it checks (due to no LNB connected) it may not display any channels.

Your only solution is to use a dual output 10700 LNB connected to inputs 1 & 2 on your Foxtel iQ.

You won't be able to receive the upcoming London Olympics channels or the Al Jazeera and CCTV news channels coming in July for the same reason - they are all on vertical polarity satellite transponders.
