What a joke...Strong should fix the problem

They say the CAM is the problem, but....??. I have also tried the card in a mate's SRT4820, but still no go.

OMG, what a shame about these Strong boxes, i just bought one purely for the reason of doing a genuine install of Aurora.... Seems after all my asking on what would be a prefered STB for Aurora and everyone saying Strong, that i now couldn't be worse off........ Ah well, it will make a good blind scan unit

Hope they sought it out

Sorry, you were saying something about uninformative posts?
Your firmware is?
Your CAM is?
Your card is?

P.S. Great grip on English to BTW

well, the fact is strong only make one licenced irdeto box.

4658x etc. boxes are CONAX , not irdeto. yes, they work on irdeto most of the time, and if they don't then bad luck.

spend some money and buy a box that works....

for aurora i would suggest an opentel or uec, they may be a bit basic, but they are licenced irdeto boxes.

they work and will keep on working.

I'm a bit new to the world of non linux boxes (personally i hate them, they are just not adjustable enough for my liking), but sometimes a job calls for it.

What about the boxes that are falling over Hoe like the Dipiza/Arion and the Supernet marrying, SMIT Purple Irdeto cams? Hard to predict what's going to keep going in the long run.

err,

i'm not the one whinging about my box/cam etc. not working......

i've never owned a humax and would never buy one...

i currently have a dm7020, octagon 318, octagon 918 hd, opentel x-810, uec 660, uec 700, opentel ods 4000ci, bolt, strong 4820, strong 4658x and a dm500.

2.06b, 2.21, 2.26, freecam 2.20, t-rex, ultimate cams. etc....

if you want a box that works 100% of the time, use a sub box and card...........

remember, all licenced irdeto boxes and cams can be 'upgraded' over the air...

i had a genuine 5.3 aurora card in a smit cam, but it got 'upgraded' while i was watching fox with a genuine fox card in my octagon. now it gives e17 no matter what card or service.....

should i be suing austar ?

@ geewiz a whole 11 posts and the guy is a ****ing encyclopedia

strongs are shit have been all along
they were shit in 2000 when i played with them and from the posts today i would suggest shit now

as others have said they rang whoever the **** sells the piece of shit and as normal was told get a new cam or a new box

i would rather stack and rack a uec than put up with that sort of shit

but just my conservative opinion though

Wow, hard to imagine that for $75 the Opentel is a licenced Irdeto box.

if you can get an opentel for $75, buy it...

they are very well made and have no overheating problems with any cards..

Yes mate, there r hundreds for sale at $75 from freesat.
Can i ask how you get your hands on a UEC provider box? Do you mean an old one that has been forgotten about or buying a new provider style box?
I just had a look at the new range from UEC here in Oz, pretty impressive. Quite a few HD boxes too
As i have never owned a UEC box, i was always under the impresion they were built for providers with their firmware loaded, making them not so attractive for other uses?
