| Junior Member | I have a Networx NX4/8 with 4 zones, I replaced the 12v battery and it works fine already for 7 years. One of the 2 remote controls stopped working, the light on the remote works but nothing happens As we don't use the remotes very often I don't know if this happened before or after the battery repacement Is there any way to test the remote without loosing the 2th remote I have the master and user code also the manual but I can't find anything on the remote controls Also I would like to have the external strobe flash or siren sound when I activate or de-activate the alarm I was told by the installer this option is not available on this model Jfon |

The keyfobs are an optional extra with its own circuit board wired to the main panel, you probably have to re learn the fobs to the receiver board. Refer to the keyfob receiver manual. As for the keyfob siren chirp - Systems options function 22# | |

--------------------------------------------------------------------- Any idea how to get hold of the keyfob manual ? Also I just can't work out how to implement System feature 22 segment 1 option 3 and 4 I don't have any more confidence in the last installer | |

| Senior Member | Keystone, you left a command out. 1) *8 Installer Code 2) 0# (this directs the panel to enter its programme mode, not that of a wireless module, or interface) 3) 22# There are now what we call 5 segments in this feature. The first "segment" is what you are after. So once you have pressed 22#, press number 8 (it should currently be off, now it will come on) this makes the siren beep once for arming 2 times for disarming) .. now press * you are now in segment 2. Press 6 - This makes the strobe flash for arm / disarm. This is all you need to do, so press # then EXIT a few times, wait 30 seconds and the panel will be back to normal.. Hope this helps! |

I did give you a hint above, without knowing what type of keyfob receiver you have it makes it kind of hard to help you. | |

| Senior Member | Are your remotes Black, with numbers 1 2 3 4, or are they black with 2 buttons one green? If so, there is a black box somewhere in close proximity to the alarm panel, this is the receiver, open the lid, press the black button and the red LED will flash, press a button one of the non working fobs, the red light will blink count these blinks as its the number that fob is in the receiver. If you dont have either of the remotes i listed, put up a picture. Cheers. |

OK, can u take a pic and put up? Sounds like the aftermarket kit, with a different housing, normally they were black remotes. Open the receiver (it should pop oopen) there u will see the button i mentioned (for enrollment) | |

| Member | The following link has info on the setup of these remotes NX304 remotes.pdf If the remote has been dropped it can stop working but the red light will still work when the button is pressed. It just won't transmit a signal and needs to be replaced. |

The remote panel looks the same but no switch it has a 2pin jumper in the same position, which is open i suspect it must be closed to enter the learning mode just want to make sure | |

| Junior Member | Yes Jfon you are right. This is the old style reciever. Short the two pins press button on remote remove short over pins and test if remote still not working get a replacement. Not sure if DAS still have any old ones left so you might have to purchase a new kit.(reciever and fobs). |
