I've just been through the same process tonight (albeit with only one roller door) and all is working well. I used a relay card I bought from Jaycar for about $20 so that may be worth looking into rst.

What I'd like to do is configure the system so that the arm button on the keyfob arms the whole house, but the disarm button only disarms the PIR in the garage. I assume I would have to assign the garage PIR to its' own area, and then program the disarm button to disarm only that area? Currently everything is in Area 1.

    Thanks guys

Yeah I used it on a Sol 16+, connected to output 3.

You can see it here: . It doesn't give you any additional outputs, but allows you to use the panel's non relay outputs (1-3) to switch a relay.

Hope that makes sense. Let me know if you want me to explain how I set it up.

    Cheers

    Have to agree.

However, technically it can be done using a external siren timer like what used to be done on the old com6, centrescan panels of yester year, providing your output can supply enough current.

In the old days, I used to repair and replace systems when the customers returned from their overseas holidays finding the fire brigade had axed the external sirens/bells off walls and axed doors to gain access inside the premises to silence the internals as well due to not having any timers fitted.
The cops would then organise to get the damaged doors boarded up and left a calling card telling the owners to contact them on return.
Damage was always extensive. In all of the ones i attended, the owners were arrogant and previously refused to have timers fitted to the old systems, and all bar one were in the eastern suburbs. It used to be hard to keep a straight face knowing justice had been served while they bitched about the damage.

Ah awesome, so the panel switches to ground, fires the relay as a dry contact N/O .. into the roller door?

Ok i know what you mean. I need extra outputs so i think i will buy a relay card that gives extra outputs from bosch.

    Smile Another option

    Hey Guys,

Why not get a 4 channel RF receiver, wire up the COM and INPUT to one of the relays, program the input to be a Momentary Action On/Off and then you have 3 spare outputs/relays (each being one of the buttons on the remote) to operate whatever the hell you like (garage doors, gates, strikes). Most alarm suppliers should carry them.
