Default sol 16+ problem guessing game

I've been having a few strange problems with Sol 16+ panels lately.
The first one is a system that has been working ok for about 3 months. Then they wanted the entry door (which is also the fire door) alarmed during the day. Now I know there are numerous ways of doing it but this was how I chose to do it. I made it a chime zone , prog o/p 3 to activate on chime as a one shot. This o/p was dioded to the onboard relay o/p & sounded the internal siren when the door was opened & stopped when the door was closed. I would usually wire it via a relay but had none at the time.Tested it out & worked a treat. A few days later the monitoring guys rang me to let me know about a strange report coming through every morning at opening time. This report was a " zone 891 sounder relay disable" on activation & "zone 891 sounder relay" on restoral. This would happen usually once immediately after disarming every morning but sometimes twice & once it happened three times. Nothing would appear on the codepad and it would never happen during the rest of the day. The only real lead I had was the fact that it was always 1 minute & 9 seconds between activation & restoral. Best answer gets a BRAND NEW SOL 40.

The clue is the 1 minute & 9 seconds. There are no timed parameters programmed for o/p 3. The siren operates when the door is open & stops when the door is closed.

Its not reporting a output overload is it??????
The op is 'PTF' fuse protected at 500mA, if its overloaded it will report it. thats if your siren/s are drawing more then 500mA

Im assuming the door is to be alarmed when the area is turned on at night ect? and to trigger full sirens and dialer ect??

and just to trigger the int siren for a few sec when the door opens during the day and not report? otherwise the door would be a 24hour door.

Other way to program the siren for when the door is open is to make the output event type "zone mirror" and event assignenment the zone number the door is on, and then set time parameter of 5 sec or 20 secs whatever takes there fancy

Then use that op (via relay) to trigger the int siren (with diods) or seperate siren ect.

ok just re read a bit of what you wrote, ahhh its there entry door, so the method above wont realy apply.

Also it only sends the report once the door is opened and the system is disarmed??

You said somtimes twice and once 3 times, is that for the door only opening once and disarmed once? or was that door opened that many times?

The door is only opened once on entry in the morning. During the day if the door is opened everything acts as it should. The siren sounds for the time the door is open. You are on the right track.

It is reporting "zone 891 sounder relay disable" on activation & "zone 891 sounder relay "on restoral. No o/p overload is displayed on codepad.

The door is a normal entry zone when armed so cannot be a 24 hr. (eventually after other work is done it will just be a 24hr zone & entry will be via another door)

Hey watchdog, what is the complete CID string the base is receiving? You are going to need this as 891 simply refers to the event being panel related.

This panel only monitors the digital outputs and not the relay so the message "Sounder Relay" is just a generic CID event description. I think the issue is with Output 3 but the CID will confirm.

Have you looked in the panel's log for more information?

ok , your as good as there. It was o/p3 overload & since it's been wired via a relay the problem has gone but some questions remain.
    1) why didn't it show o/p overload on codepad
    2) why is it overloading when it is only drawing 350mA
    3) the most burning question is why did it only happen after entry & not later in the day - this may remain a mystery.
