Need a NESS House alarm kit - Adelaide
Can anyone supply me with trade prices for NESS products, I used have a login, but dropped off due to non use.
I need a complete Alarm kit, 1 x panel, 6 x PIRs, 2 x Door switches, Panel, internal siren, external siren
you know the usual for one house I can install and program
anyone help out

The post was reported asking for its removal. It hasnt been removed because we cant see any reason why it should be. I have seen trade prices for many things posted before.

Most of us know tradies get stuff cheaper than most of us.
Some tradies have huge markups .. thus the ripoff comment.

It's not as if hes telling the guy how much it costs to setup and install an integrated security system.
Anyone can buy these cheap alarm systems at DSE or Turks (albeit rebadged)for around the same price..who cares if he knows how much a NESS panel costs?
As a matter of fact, there is very little (if any) profit in these cheap end products. Many of the larger companies will give them away (install at less than cost) if you agree to sign a monitoring contract (usually at inflated prices).
I think it is completely unnecessary and ill informed of you to suggest that trades people are ripping you of because they try to make a living out of supplying product and not just labour.
As a moderator, I think it ill behooves you to cast espersions and to generally lump all trades people together as rip of merchants.
I for one take exception to the comment and would like to see it withdrawn.

Most of us who contribute to this sub-forum are clearly members of the security industry and contribute in a way that helps to develop the technological and ethical standards of our industry.
While I may not necessarily agree with keef82s somewhat rigid stance on this particular issue, I cannot fault him on his obvious dedication and passion for the industry in which he is involved.
It is all too easy or some anonymous boofhead to spray unsubstansiated claims about rip offs in a field that they clearly know absolutely nothing about.
