    Default Concept 2000 Tone Dial

    Hi all,

One of my mates was trying to get a Concept 2000 to Tone dial. He was basically switching it from Securitel to GPRS, hence the change.

Unfortunately he could only get it to decadic dial, even after changing the Dialler options to "Set to tone Dial = Y"

Is there anywhere in the menu we should look for or does the panel needs upgrading ??? Cheers.

Tone Dial for Number, should be YES

Normal Tone Dialling, should be YES (this probably won't affect it though).

Theres not really much else it can be as long as there is an actual tone on the line. There is an option to dial early if Tone, set this to YES as well and also to abort if no tone dial. It it going through a PABX?

Turn area 9 on and off as a last resort. Don't think this will affect it though

Just re read the post. If it's onGPRS only then it may not be able to decipher the tone accurately. Go into the menu and do a manual dial and see if it works

Concept 1 & 2's are a pain, there is no reason though that the panel should not tone dial.
HOWEVER, concept 1&2's have the 60/40 stupid setting.

If the panel does not like what it hears, it will switch to decadic.

There is no way around this.

Might be a good idea to power cycle the panel as well

Just out of interest, why did you not connect the panel via the UART to the GPRS device? rather then dial capture?
is the tech using the concept dialer lead?

So why dont you use the UART and interface as serial stu?
    It's always the better option..

    Howdy all...

Depending on the version of the C2000 it needs some special love to get it working..

Here is the normal procedure i use

Installer Code ... OK ... Menu ... 3 ... Left hand arrow and answer yes to all of the Options for TONE DIAL... remember to go through all of the options... Then Go Menu .... 3 .... END ... This will do a comms reset Arm and Disarm Area 9 then go into Menu 1 look through the review history and see what it does...

I have noticed over the years the earlier version (pre s279) *sometimes* you had to turn the panel off to get it to behave.

    Hope this helps!
