Hey,
Anyone got an old DSC 1550 or similar gathering dust that they could let go for a few bucks ?
We are doing some work with the old pulse dialler formats and even if the panel is not fully functional, as long as we can set it, trigger an alarm and get it to dial using one of the pulse formats - that's good enough

One of our CMS's in the USA has over 20,000 panels still dialling pulse formats. Our existing Virtual Receiver that he uses only supports DTMF protocols and he asked if we could provide him with a device that could decode pulse formats and transmit the signal over IP. Who am I to say no ?
We need the panel to do some testing - in WA (not Thailand).

Sounds like they're in for a rude shock when their telco realises what century we're in :-)
Ummmm...
Dan, I think you will find that Steve means communicates in low speed pulse, rather than Dials in pulse.??? (or aren't you old enough to remember the older "sescoa" type comms??)
Well he did say:

Stop arguing symantics, we all know what he is talking about.... old pulse transmissions after a pulse or dmtf dial to the control room..

So is it up for sale Dan ? - The PCB & keypad (not the heavy metal case) will need posting to WA.
Saves me shipping one out from Thailand.

Sure mate.
Send me an email or a PM and it's yours. I'll have to find something else to prop up this desk...
It will cost you postage and a few bucks to the Salvation Army.
