    Default Help with DSC 1616

    Hi all,

Would like to ask for a little help with my DSC1616.

1 - The circuit board has the model shown as 1864?? - if this is correct (as i was under the impression that it was a 1616), then i should be able to hard wire 8 PIR's directly to it (i mean without any "extra" programming required to enable zones 7 and 8). Is this correct, as i need to add another two PIR's and have already used 6 of the 8 zones listed on the board?

2 - I am also adding another LCD5511 keypad (identical to the keypad downstairs). Do i have to enroll the new keypad i.e. partition and slot assignment for both of them now, (as the first one wasn't enrolled and is working fine)

Talk about the most confusing installation manual i have ever read....unbelievable.

Appreciate any advice you are able to provide.

    Thank you and kind regards,

Welcom to the world of DSC.I stopped using them years ago because of this reason. By default the first codepad is enrolled as codepad #1. Extra codepads need to be enrolled as per the description in the manual. Peserverence is the secret , you will get it eventually ( I always did eventually )

    good luck
