I've played with the ITI Interface with the ITI Equipment, they work okay with the NX, all I can think of is that perhaps there is a stand alone box that low level inerfaces to the nx? I didnt think the ademco stuff could interface? Anyone?
ReD
I have zero experience with NX wireless equipment. Had a bloke ring in the other day with a problem & in the course of the conversation he said he had a NX16 wireless system with Ademco w/less PIRs. Will they work with Ademco PIRs or is something else going on here ?

Clearly the person that called had no idea what they are talking about.
NX Panels have the choice of 2 receivers,
ITI / 433 MHZ
Inovonics / 9XX MHZ
Did they ever make an echostream innovonics reciever for the nx? That would be uber cool... the range is so good, and throw on a repeater and awaay we go... just like the older innovonics FA equipment

Actually, i don't know re echostream
.
Just got back from this guys place & the storey was completely different. The place had undergone extensive extensions about 2 years ago & an Ademco Vista 20 had been ripped out & an NX16 been put in with w/less PIRs for the extensions & detached garage & original FX40s for the old part of the building.
His problem was Z11 (garage on the zone list) was flashing about 2/sec on the codepad. Pulled it down for a closer look & Z9 comes up on the code pad (because of the tamper). So if Z11 is really Z9, what is Z11? It looks like whoever installed it programmed the w/less detectors then used the lucky dip method when he mounted them. Having straightened the zones out Z11 turned out to be the PIR in the study at the far end of the house. This PIR had corrossion on the battery terminals so was cleaned up but would work only within about 20m of the panel. New batteries made no difference. He opted for the solution of swapping this one with the Hall PIR (right beside the panel) & modifying the zone list. I warned him that next problem with that PIR would mean replacement.
Did u programme out the old study pir
