A master pin code is unique to each system thats why it's not in the user manual.
If you dont know the master pin you'll need to have someone come out and "possibly" re set it for you.

These systems are getting on now, and not really that easy to default.
    - You need a "default" chip to get into the system is no codes are known.

Best bet, contact the original installer
    Where are you located?

    Default

Default the master code is 1234

As said above, may require a tech to come out and default.

Alot of panels have the default installer code in them, if not power down and up may default installer code, if not it can be defaulted by 2 solder tabs however if installer lock out is programmed it will default the panel exept the installer code, so you have a defaulted panel and cant program, in that case as keef said a 'default' chip is needed.

Defaulting will require re programming up zone types, delays, comunication stuff if applicable, best for a tech to do.

If you want to see if the INSTALLER is the default, we can then help you change the master code, you can try this... however if it works and you get into programming and press any other buttons, you will be changing the programming!

    Press 0 1 2 3 4 5 * 0 # (so thats the installer code being 012345 and then the 3 buttons down the right side *0#)

If its the right code, the power, service and arm lights will flash at the same time

then without pressing anythign else for now, press * and # to get out, should go back to normal.

I currently have zone 1 and 2 along with the Power green indicators flushing at the same exact rate/time.
The service yellow is fast flushing. "which may indicate communication error"
    the ARM is steady red.

I found out that the manual I have is the Keypad LED user manual and not the system manual.

Power light flashing may indicate battery as stated, press * 6 4 # to do battery test after battery replacement.

the zones flashing means those zones have been in alarm, press * 1 # to clear them.

yes service lgit may indicate communication fault, im assuming it was at some stage monitored, the dialer needs to be turned off, again in programming.

changed the battery, had 12v before installing it.
    * 1 # to clear zones. I still have zone 1 and 2 along with the Power green indicators flushing at the same exact rate/time.
The service yellow is fast flushing. "which may indicate communication error"
    the ARM is steady red.

what will need to be done next?

    *64# battery test results:
after the 2 min. test, I get the two beeps which accroding to the manual indicates a pass. However the Power light did not go off during the test as it stated in the manual.
    Now the
    Power is steady green.
    Service light is off.
    Arm light is steady red.
    Zone 5 steady red.
Zone 1 and 2 flushging together.

    Were getting some where .
There are multiable issues so have to solve one at a time.
I take it you have the alarm turned off with user code ????
Maybe set up for silent alarm ???
You get the count down beeps when turning on .

I had the power adaptor disconnected during battery change and the battery was disconnected for a day. not sure if the codes are still in there.
We bought this house not too long ago and no histroy is available.
when putting in the user code, after a second or so, it gives a bunch of short beeps and nothing changes in the indicator lights.

so. how can I till if the alarm is turned off or on? or at silent? I searched the manuals but could not find the info to answer your questions. thx

I went to do that and noticed the service yellow flashing fast as before.
    * 1 # to clear memory made the service yellow flashing stop.
1 2 3 4 # gives one beep immediatly followed by 5 shrot fast beeps.
