Rep Power: 5 ![]() | Hi guys have a client who has Titan installed, mainly so he can view events while out of the country. He does this by dialling into his computer system from outside and then view the computer that Titan is installed on. What seems to be happening is that when he dials in and uploads the log, it doesn't show all days. It seems to miss a few out which is very strange. There are not that many events that happen so it's not simply being overwritten. I've installed it onto another computer (for another reason) and the same thing is happening. It's the very lastest version of Titan. Is there a reason or could there be a bug in the software? |

and uses an old Borland paradox database structure. The database is unstable at best. There are plenty of ways of re-building your database if you go hunting for key words like 'Borland' and 'paradox'.If you would like a copy of some of the tools I use to repair databases I'd be happy to help. | |

Rep Power: 17 ![]() | Make sure the PC has NO power management, this will stop the events coming thru (if pc sleeps e.t.c) apart from that, i can't imagine why events are not coming through. |

Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Another thing about titan that not a lot of people see, is if you have a local connection (J15) or if you connect to the alarm panel via a dialup connection, any and all events that happen while this connection is valid will go to the remote machine, painful for providing full history. The latest version of titan has the option to pull the full history, and if they want more, put in the expanded memory chips and you'll get plenty of more events. Are there any particular events that he is missing, are they access event, relay events or just a mishmash of things from time to time. Its true about the paradox database, I run my titan here in the office with 380 clients in it, and it falls over at the turn of a hand... its quite irratating to rebuilt. Check to make sure that the system doesnt have power management enabled, how is the titan connected via ethernet connection or via serial. If its via serial, have you made the plug up correctly, using all of the recommended connections (See the manual) and make sure the cts/rts lines are all configured tied... I've seen installation loose signals especially under high loads, but from the description there isnt a lot happening on this site.... Just some starting points.. ReD |

Rep Power: 17 ![]() | There is your issue, the only way u can guarantee events is for titan to be always connected, this can occur by leaving titan at the "login" screen |

Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Could be the cause, but you mentioned that there is more than 50 users, so its got the expanded memory and lots of events... tell him to leave it on the login screen and test from there... |
