Question concept / weigand microlatch problem??

    hey guys,

i have a weigand micro-latch connected to a 2 door access module, when this is pushed it triggers a negative output on my big expander which activates a basic relay (this opens the roller door)

now for some reason this has stopped working.

there are also arm / disarm buttons on a different micro-latch receiver but that is not working either which leads me to beleive its something in the programming.

when i push the micro-latch i see the red LED light up, i can also see the data coming through to the 2 Door Access Module via the LEDs.

i went into MENU - 4 - 5 and checked to see what data was coming through when i pushed the micro-latch and it was along the lines of

    441A7800B00000000000000000000000000000000000000000 000

does this seem right to anyone?

    any help i would appreciate.

    Thank-you!!!!

Do a menu 2,1 after pressing the button and look at what it says in review.
Have to press ^ a couple times to see older lines.

I have a feeling your door module may no longer be programmed as 26Bit weigand input for the reader but that depends on how it was originally set up.

The Microlatch receiver appears to be communicating with the 2DAM no worries. The RAW data 441A7800B00000... translates to:
    26bit Wiegand, SC: 120, CN: 176
Other informatin from the raw data:
    Reader module is a 995012
Programmed format for the reader is 26bit Wiegand
    Badged at the 1st reader

Just as Privatteer has said, I would also recommend checking review. This looks like a programming issue.

i will have to go back and double check review.. yes does seem like a programming issue.

just strange how it just lost the micro-latch only!

It's not normal but depending on how the fobs were programmed in the first place, there might be a difference between the fobs programming details and that of the HID tag within it. If that's the case then it's possible that someone might've deleted the tag but not the fob.

Have you programmed the Reader Module for "Direct Entry" or Site Code"?
Are the Micro Latch RF transmitters site coded as well and do you have their site code programmed at M,2,5 ?
Don't forget to do a M,7,8,1 if you change the Reader Module programming or it won't work.

went out to have another look today to upload that database and had a better look.

on my initial post i said that when i pushed the microlatch it had
441A7800B00000000000000000000000000000000000000000 000 but thats when the fob within the remote was badged. (sorry guys)

when i push the remote i get nothing... mostly just 000000

the remotes are site coded aswell and have checked that they are in the database.

i took the remotes back to work and tested them before to make sure that data was coming out correctly and all seems well....

    the journey continues!

If the Microlatch receiver is attached to a 1 or 2DAM then go to Menu, 7, 5, 1 and change your default reader to whatever module you've addressed the aforementioned reader module to. Then go back and try Menu 4, 5 again. This should get things going...

Microlatch fobs can be configured in a number of ways - The internal HID tag can have the same detail as one of the fob buttons. Alternatively the fob buttons can also be something completely different.

It might also be a good idea to go in to Menu, 7, 2, 4 and check to see if the reader module is set for Site Code entry or Direct Entry.
