Cool

Solution 16 here. About 14 yrs old. Only ever replaced battery , one PIR (optex of all things , who'd believe it) & a couple of mouse damaged cables.Runs an O/P expander controlling outside lighting & water pumps. May upgrade to a 16+ at some stage for the scheduling facility.

C&K Sierra with a ZEM (expander), REMM (relay and event memory module), 2 full alpha kps

About 6/7 years old, not a glitch, bullet proof.

Only cause thats what the company i was workign for at the time was using, easy to use, program without a manual.

When i get a new place, prob put Solution 64 in so can do access, or tecom instead of having a test panel in the garage doing nothing.

I'm really quite surprised by the responses. I was waiting for a post that had a Challenger making breakfast before driving you to work or a Concept doing somebody’s BAS statements.

Mossberg 930 Autoloader Shotgun in the upstairs bedroom.
Badly fed Rottweiler in the front yard.
Claymore mines in the rear.

Oh, and a couple of warning stickers on the front window.

"Security" - I don't know why you are underwhelmed by the answers here. You'll find they are comparable to the homes of builders which are usually falling to pieces or doctors who go to work when they are sick.

In other words, do as we say...

Check out the OmniPro IIe.

Out of the box alarm panel, with whole home automation without the pricetag.

If you like your plants, use a standalone irrigation timer. Most modern (and inexpensive) controllers allow for seasonal adjustments, water-restriction friendly programs, rain delays and soak settings.

Yes, your automation system can do it, but it's not the best tool. If you really want to interface your alarm panel to water solenoids, and want to impress people, get your alarm panel to flush the dunny via remote keyfob for totally handsfree pissing contests.

Nah. Some of those old panels were crap the day they were released. Unfortunately, as they're so simple they probably won't die for another 2000 years and will likely outlast the human species.

In the year 4096, Alien visitors to Earth will find the ruins of our civilisation and wonder what caused us to disappear, like the dinosaurs before us. They will be greatly confused when their scientists locate an alarm keypad with a flashing "fault" light and wonder what something called an ADEMCO was trying to say, as the last message from the human race.
