Heritage Listed Installations Have done a lot of these over the years, there are a lot of rules, there used to be a non for profit organisation that you could bother to find out what parts of the building where actually heritage listed, as in most buildings *not everthing* was listed, as they are usually renovated and built at different times.
The last one I did was many years ago, we talked to the EPA, who sent out one of there inspectors and he told us exactly what we could and couldnt do in the building, my first call would be to the chaps in there.
The second is with every heritage listed building, there should be someone on site that has a register of what items are heritage listed, check with the staff.
Thirdly, DONT DO ANYTHING WITHOUT APPROVAL, I cannot stress this enough, what you are dealing with is people, who's sole purpose in life, is to look after these buildings, and people get attached to inanimate objects quite easily, for example gen y and z and there f**king ipods and IPads and Iphones, jeezus people I mean IPad sounds like a sanitary product.... but I digress... Check with the governing bodies, and remember even putting up duct with double sided tape can breach as your messing with the paint...
