Vista 12 Setup Issues

Hi, I have installed a Vista 12E system and can't get into the programming mode.

After power up the Keypad display shows:
"Busy - Standby
Vista 12E V2.3 D1"
It holds this for about 60 seconds and then displays:
"***Disarmed***
Hit * For Faults"
It wont accept any input during or after.
Has anyone experienced this issue and is there a way arround it to get into the programming mode.

I've only ever done one Vista 12 & the touchscreen was a pain in the ***. Did you hold down the * & # after powering up ?

Hi, Yes I did that but there is no response on the keypad to any other input, although I have been able to set the keypad address to 16.

If you know the installer code you of course can get in by installer code + 8 0 0

You say powered up the keypad, when you tried did you power the whole panel down and up, not just the keypad, and while its at the standby screen, hold the * and # togeather for about 5 seconds?

Ok so the keypad is address 16? is there any other keypads that may also be 16?

If theres 2 keypads with the same address, it lets you press about 3 buttons and beeps while pushing them then nothing, not even beeps, is it doing this?

Unsure if your using the only keypad or say a temp programming one at the panel ect, if so then maybe make it 17.

if you want to make the prog one 17, disconnect it from the panel so theres only 1 kp that 16, power down and up and hold * and # on power up, hopefully will get into prog at loc 20.

then go *190 and press 1 and 0 should beep 3 times, press *99 to exit, that has now enabled kp 17 to work, so connect temp kp and when it powers up, press and hold 1 & 3 and change to 17.

I do have a second keypad and have set that to address 17 but I will disconnect it and try to access programming mode on the main keypad.

If the other is set to 17, and your 100% it is, shouldnt be an issue, but only takes a sec to check or to power down to rule out
