There is no setting that will make the house dissappear , I would say it's a fault in the display. The programming for the remote button functions is changeable & fairly easy.
Hi guys,
Just moved into a new house that has a Solution 16 alarm system fitted.
With the two alarm modes (Stay and Away), there should be an icon of a man either inside a house, or walking away from the house.
The panel shows the icon of the man, but the picture of the house does not show at all. Ie, I only see either a man standing, or a man walking, but there is no picture of a house as shown in the manual.
Is this just a problem with the display of the control pad, or has something not been set correctly?? As far as I can tell the system works correctly (accidentally tripped it a few times when it didn't disarm like we thought it did).
Also, we received two remote controls from the tenants. The manual has no mention of a remote control.
The remote control has a black button and a green button, but I'm unsure which button does what?? I had a quick play last night just standing in front of the control pad and pressing the buttons. I have to double check, but I think it could just be that one button activates Away mode and the other Stay mode, but I'm not 100% on that.
Is it possible to get remote controls that just have one button on them?? All I want is to be able to arm/disarm the Away mode via the remote controls.
Any help would be great!!

okay great.
So I'm assuming the remote button is something I can change myself then?? I know the Master Code, but not the Installer Code.
Also, any tips as to where I can get spare remotes from??
The receiver it'll be using is an RE005 if the fobs are black or RE005E if the fobs are blue. You will need to find where it is located. It is a black plastic box about 3" x 5" x 1.5" with an antenna (or loose wire). It may be mounted in the alarm box or somewhere in the ceiline. When you find it get back to me.
You might be able to restore the house icon with one of . Just be careful, it's quite a fiddly job.
