Can the Inner Range "Insight" software for concept panels be found anywhere else except Inner Range's website...? Want to try and get my hands on Insight Professional.

You buy it from the retailer Central Security Distribution.
Requires a USB hardware key to run the pro version its not just a matter of downloading it.
IR site only has it online to allow people to update their existing version.
I have a copy of professional brand new in the box, but I can't open it because we are selling it... I was under the impression you could also download insight for use only with registration information, without the dongle. -Non Pro Version.

What you are referring to is Insight Installer. It does not require a license but does require registration (free). Installer will allow as many panels as you want but only one connection at a time. Additionally Insight Installer will automatically log out after 2 hours.
PM me if you need anything.

with insde pro it is a one panel product unless other licences are bought what i beleive you are after would be the insight installer software but you need to be a factory certified technician contact csd for the software im sure they will be able to help you
If you want a copy of the latest version of Insight Pro, Express or Installer - PM me.
It does not matter how you obtain a copy of any of the above versions as they all require registration. Insight Installer is the only version that will run without a dongle.
Not to be a mud stick and all, but isnt the idea of certification so that you can get the software, and not to hand it out...
Just my 2c's
The developers have put a lot of time and effort making Insight what it is today. They deserve every cent they charge for it. If Insight had no protection, I wouldn't distribute it. Period.
Interesting to see such a passionate statement about paying software from you Security. Especially after seeing a post you made in another thread where you were surprised people would pay for Titan. You then offered to assist that person in pirating a copy of the software.
Titan has a fraction of Insight's features, but it is also a fraction of the cost. Only seems fair that people also pay for that product.
I admit it sounds hypocritical. Titan is the only application I have a big problem with. I’m not sure how much you know about Titan but it began as a production testing tool. Later on after a series of band-aids it was released as a ‘marketable’ product. Personally I don’t think it’s worth the CD it’s printed on.
As for packages such as Ares, Forcefield, FF Ent, Secure Perfect and Picture Perfect, I’ll quite happily fork out the necessary coin.
I do agree that Titan did seem to originate from the Land that Software Development Forgot.
I'll PM you an article I wrote about this which cause quite a stir.
I cracked the newest version of titan so it doesn't have a 30 second nag screen when starting it up.... But it's for my own personal use and I'm not distributing. I think that makes me a good person.
Insight Pro simply won't run without the HASP dongle.
It enables the SQL database to run, without it, it won't work.
There was a demo version which ran for 30 days before locking up but I thinks it's been removed.
Feel free to disty as many "pirated" copies as you like.
Speaking of Tecom software I see they are advertising new management software on their website
I wonder if it will also have a 30 second delay
Looks like I'm going to check out stand C2. GE/UTC/Whatever developed this in under 2 years? Be interesting to see how stable/usable it is.
Time is money, plus think of all the things you could do in 30 seconds... I could eat a cheese burger.
