To set the system clock you must use the Master Code normally User 1 code or the installers code which you would not normally have access too
    to change time press
    *97
    The Master Code ****
enter the hour time in 24hr time ie 5.00 pm is 17
enter the minutes after the hr ie 15 for 15 minutes

you can also set the system date as per the manual

the backup battery maybe crook wouldnt be the first time they dont make them like they used to do but you should get 3 - 4 yrs out of a battery
The panel does a regular battery tests every 24 hrs so after you have rectified Clock error wait and see if battery fault appears again

If you've entered a valid master code after *97, the service light should be flashing. All other lights should be out. If not, the code you're using isn't a master.

If you've replaced the battery 6 months ago, I'd be checking that the panel is charging it properly. You should see roughly 13.2-13.8VDC across the battery leads. It is possible that you got a lemon battery though.

well the power light has stopped flashing but cant get the service light to go out when I check the service menu now the zone that lights up is still zone 8 and according to the manual that is the date and time one but when I follow the manual to reset the date and time it does not seem to work and the code i am using is the master code or thats what i was told when it was installed is the a way to double check if that is the master code? Just doouble checked other numbers i use and it only accpets the code i have been using so unless the installer has set a different code as the master code with out telling me ther is something seriously wrong as the code i use arms and disarms but does not seem to do anything else even tried to change the code my self by doing *5 and entering the code then the user number but the ready light stays lit

Sounds like it is not the master code.

You will need to contact the installer and ask for either the master or installer code to fix it up (You can change master code with installer code if that is available)

the only way to change installer or master code if you dont know them is to default the panel , any compedent DAS NX tech could do this for you , you were probably giving one of the user codes from 2 to 8 which will arm / disarm but thats about it

advertise your suburb and someone may pm you to come and do the job for you
