Default Little Quick Concept

Little Quick concept panel swap out I did a couple of months ago, Forgot to take a photo once I actually put my zip ties around it, was a nasty old crow, now a nice concept with lots of power (2A extra PSU) mini expander to pick up some extra zones and the mcp... pleased as punch...

Battery lead's too long. Think of all the voltage you're wasting!

Seriously, good job and I commend you for affixing a label to the battery. Can I suggest you consider prefixing that with "Installed on:" or similar. It sounds trivial, however there are some people who write a nominal expiry date instead and there's the possibility of confusion.

It annoys me when people can't even be bothered writing a lousy date on a strip of white electrical tape.

An ordinary black felt tip will do the job

Do you think it would be a bit more secure with the 611 socket inside the panel?
Even the client could unplug it to try out their brand spanking new fax machine or something. Just a thought. Good work though.

Yes. Thank you for pointing out one of my pet peeves.

When the interior siren/screamer is mounted adjacent to the panel, at best, you are deafening installers and technicians.

At worst, you are saying to the criminal "The panel is over here, come and get it".

It is very lazy.

Spud that reminds me of my commercial/ industrial control switchboard days.

If we installed security like that we would quote ourselves out of business.

Nice work though.

Cabling standards state that it must be accessable for isolation testing.
