Arm and disarm the system. They perform a battery test on arming once every 24 hours unless the programings been changed not too. But, as its only once every 24 hours, if youve been through a few armig cycles over that period it may not work. Alternatively, power the whole thing down, plug the battery in followed by mains. Only thing with the later method is you'll have to reprogram time and date.

Sometimes the *44 does a battery test as well if programmed.

The flashing power LED is one of the little quirks in the NX/Reliance Systems I hate when changing a battery. When powering the whole thing down it doesnt send a battery restoral signal to the monitoring centre.

*44 is a communicator test for siren & communicator - but it did the trick thanks for that

    Hi guys

with relation to the flashing power light. It can be a pain to reset sometimes. I've found the best way is to actually set the siren off, which was what the *44 would have done. Arming disarming sometimes works straight away but other times doesnt. Arm the system, put it into full alarm and disarm. Usually works first time but occasionally a second time is required. Other than that, don't program the "12 second Battery test" option (22). For some reason the panel knows when the battery is not there for 5 seconds, but doesnt know its returned sometimes hours later.

Nope. All you'll do with that sequence is arm and disarm the system. If it resets a LBT it's only because the panel hasn't performed a battery test during an arming cycle in te last 24hrs.
