Does the signal go through the data centre in London, or have they set one up in Oz ?

| Member | Permacon Here... Its quick Easy and Simple to install... Reasonably priced, I like to stay with one solution, but I have heard good things about the UHS equipment, but have never seen one in action... (Mind you we are at the whim of our monitoring stations, because until they get the reciever, we really cant put these devices in...) Just my 2c's ![]() |

![]() | Whilst we are on the subject, I just visited a Monitoring Centre web site and they were charging $19 per month for PSTN, $60 for IP (ADSL) monitoring, and $57 for Permaconn with 1 hour polling. How can they justify an extra $41 for IP monitoring ? - That's going to be a tough sell. I can understand the additional cost of the GPRS solution as there are Telstra and Optus network charges included in that.

| Member | We've got about 20 Permaconn units out there now and have not had a drama with them. Easy to setup and reasonably priced. Here in SA it is distributed through Net Security Wholesalers and you couldn't ask for better after sales service on any of the products they distribute. Although some securitel customers don't want to change from securitel. Don't think they understand the meaning of "will be turned off" or "no longer available". |

| Registered User | Yeah I hear yer rotor, but can you ring them at 1157pm and get a response to a network issue??? Does it have more then One path to the cms, so when someone decides to sabotage it, it still reports???, is it not housed in potentially a competitors Grade1 CMS, where they and everyone else has access to your clients / data Do they need to have 2 sims for redundancy (: Something that is cheap and easy, doesnt always mean its the "best" I do have a disclosure form one cms stating that it doesnt recommend their bureaus use it... I might have to post why...( btw they have 4 of the 7 products on the market they offer services for- more then most cms have, one or two...) Do I need to say more |

I hear that. Even when you explain that they will be saving money they still refuse. Oh well, we'll see what happens I suppose. | |
