I don't use any of the above, I use sophos and it has done me well for years.

I think everyone has their favourites but which ever one you use see if you can get a multi year license. This will cut the costs down considerably.

I bought a Kaspersky Internet Security licence for 3 computers for 3 years for under $20AUD on ebay.com

It also works with Kaspersky Internet Security 2010.

Thats good value, but I always worry the keys are stole and wil get blacklisted down the track. I suppose buying from a reputable seller helps. I saw a note somewhere about how to tell if the key you have is unique/legal, dunno where that was though...

I was told the same concerns 3 years ago and since then have made 3 x 1 year purchases and 1 x 3 year / 3 computer.

All have worked 100% , including multiple installs on some 1 year keys. All keys now have an activation date , the first install you do is the subscription starting date. If you install it on another computer 6 months later , you would only get 6 months sub. So if its not a unique key , days and months would be missing from the subscription time that shows when you install.

My Brothers PC copped a root kit while using Norton 360 (his fault he bypassed Nortons) but the upside is Nortons remote assistance in that they log onto your PC and make the necessary repairs remotely while you go about doing something else. They also offer a premium service (which he agreed to) which was $140 and they work on your PC 24/7 to restore it.

Have been using Norman for years...no probs.

And if you dig a bit you can find their free demo which they upgrade every now and then if you want to check back. I just pay and get the online updates etc.
