When are Australian investors going to grow a set and make their own decisions instead of blindly following Wall street into oblivion. When Wall street has a good day our investors open their wallets and our indices rise and when Wall street has a shocker we blindly follow their lead and sell sell sell.
Wake up Australia and turn this thing around.

Here here, I could not agree more,

Our economy was going gang busters until the American Stock market fell arse over tit,

but there was little reason for it to effect us, as we have a different set of circumstances here,

our banking & housing markets are in totally different circumstances,

If our investors had the courage, I would say now would be a good time to buy,

I guess America being a big economy, not buying as much from china or the rest of the world, would mean a ripple down effect of people not buying as much from us,

but I am still thinking of investing, as stock levels are nearly at 2003 prices in some stocks, & will go up again.....

The Chinese economy is being hit harder than anticipated. No relief for us in that direction.

The AUS budget 2009 is set to be in deficit by up to 25 billion, should make for increased interest rates 2-3 years out to pay it back, and the printed bails.
