Hey Leroy what format does the PVR make recordings in with the Xcruiser XDSR600HD ....... (e.g. .trp, .mpg, .avi, .mov etc ....)

I guess what I'm asking is are recordings able to be edited in a video editor without too much trouble ?

They are a .ts file and can be edited no probs. Do a google on .ts file edit and you'll be flooded with responses.

Just to elaborate a bit more to Osirus's question, .ts is Transport Stream and as Leroy mentioned, its fairly easy with most software to convert .ts to mp4 or .mkv or any other popular format.

Even looked on ebay Australia and couldn't find anyone selling these. Also what is the recommened internal HDD to put in them?

Hi Leroy, yes very interested in getting another Ultraplus. Looked at IPTV and not interested in all those channels. Have you had any problems with series record and freezing like i am having with my old Ultraplus? Look forward to hearing from you with hopefully good news in getting another. Fantastic machine. I have also bought the Panasonic BWT955 but prefer the ultraplus, wish it had more tuners.
