Default My Harmony - Software issues

Anyone suffered a "white screen" when opening My Harmony software to program their remotes?
I have to admit, that My Harmony software has to be most painful experience.
I remember last time i used it, it need so many plug-ins just to make it work.

I think it might depend on your remote as each one has different software I think.
I have a Harmony One that uses Logitech Harmony Remote Software 7.7.0 on win 7 and it seems fine at the moment.

No, i mean the program opens up to a White Screen, regardless of what remote
You don't even get to that point of what remote you have.

I see its all over the Harmony forums
Geez, they sure know how to make some painful software.

    Oh OK.
Yeah, the software is shit..... not easy to program and you have to go through about 3 steps for every change you make. Before it got to 7.7 version it was updating every time I opened it and so took about 10 mins before I could use it.

Even now it sometimes takes about 2-3 reconnects of the remote for the software to even pick up it is connected.

Amazing, considering the Remote has a Learning LED on the underside of the remote, so really, why do you need the software at all?

It is as bad as iTunes!

Ahh.. Ok. It's for the mac. Which OS do you have. I downloaded My Harmony for my mac which has Mavericks and it runs OK. A lot of programs don't run well on later versions than Mavericks.

Which is exactly what so many users have reported on the net

I suppose you also have the latest MyHarmony version? Mine is 1.0.0.67 which is not supposed to need the plugins.

A lot of modern applications will not run on earlier versions of OS X.

Yours is Lion (10.7). I run Mountain Lion (10.8) and some of today's Mac applications will not run for me.

Upon inquiry, I have been told to upgrade to a later version of OS X, namely Mavericks (10.9) or later.

I suggest that you upgrade your version of OS X.

    Hi All

I just tried version 7 that was installed in 2013 on a windoze 7 pro SP1 laptop and got the same White screen then opened Logitech MyHarmony that was installed 10/2015 with no problems. The MyHarmony seems to support all remotes.

For some reason, i am noting thinking this is the issue
The Logitech Rep has never suggested that to any end user suffering this problem with Mac.
What they do suggest is making another "Mac User Account" or Deleting certain files from the your machine, then opening the App

Neither of which i am prepared to do just yet.
