Yes... an OEM booklet, no doubt a good copy.

Got my eBay refund of $228.00 showing up in my account today (took 3 business days to clear) .....

the eBay seller did not want the Item back ...... (maybe still did not want to give me his address .....)

Anyway the eBayer did the right thing ..... I can't ask for more than that I guess .....

I am sure that all the evidence & the Disc's = fake means everything else must be fake ..... saved me from finding out it fails Windows Genuine Validation months later ....

I hope my mistake may help other people & serve as a warning to buying Windows on ebay .....

I would like to give many thanks to Philquad & mtv & WiteOx for your valued posts that saved me from loosing my money, cheers

A good outcome for you mate!

Do you know if eBay have cancelled the seller's account?

It would be pretty ordinary if they allowed him to keep selling, knowing the items are counterfeit.

    He is selling fakes.

OEM serials are from Windows versions sold with hardware, ie, a new laptop with Windows or something similar.

They are creating fake windows discs along with fake booklets and packaging. To me, the outside ink was the giveaway, look at the barcode on the item. It is poorly printed and some parts of the barcode have bits of ink missing.

While it looks professional, it doesnt cost them much to make and they make a very good profit at $200 + dollars a sale.

The reason he refunded you without hassle is because its their best business practice. Most people wont realise its a fake, but when someone does, they do a quick refund to keep you happy and not get bad feedback. Even if they do get bad feedback, if they are a big seller, their ebay manager will remove the bad feedback.

Windows 7 is an easy one to hack/crack. All you need is a copy of windows 7 and the a cracking tool (there are plenty about). After installing windows, run the tool, and it will pick the best way to register it, including inserting an OEM serial.

Anyway, good to hear you got your money back, thats the main thing.
