For those that know me, this isn't the sort of post I normally make. And I will state for the record that I could count on one hand the amount of people I would do this for. Not that anyone has asked me to do this.
A mate of mine is in a bit of a pickle. His 18 year old son has an extremely rare genetic condition called Simpson Golabi Behmel Syndrome. It's as rare as rocking horse shit and unfortunately his son has it. Its pretty hard to explain it fully, all I can really suggest is a Google. I notice the Simpson Golabi Behmel Syndrome facebook support page states that "it is classified as a rare disorder with currently only 130 diagnosed cases worldwide".
My mates name is Linton and his son is Linton Junior. Linton (Snr) had to give up work to take on the full time caring role of his son Linton Jnr. With having to give up working, you of course end up in a much worse financial situation and struggling on a week to week basis. I wont crap on too much myself....I will just paste :
My son has Simpson Golabi Behmel Syndrome,I had to leave work 7 years ago to look after him it has been hard to save money as we live week by week linton loves his football and its is so good for him as he feels part of something,he helps the club out every week as he runs the water and loves the club,he does train and play with the u19 he hardly gets a kick and his team has not won a game for 3 years but he does not care just loves his footy. My problem is my car is old and on its last legs and about to blow up..I need funds now so i can get a new car and take him to the footy & school he goes to a school that is for kids with needs and is a bit of a drive away,it would mean so much to me if i got a car so i can keep taken him to the one thing in his life he love's to do,This is so hard for me to ask for help but im at the end of the road and dont know what to do .
The $5000 goal is unlikely to be met as this stage with only $1300 odd dollars being raised, which pains me a lot. But Linton (snr) has been happy to get that :
I have known Linton Hardy Snr since I was 15 years old. I left home when I was 15 and lived rough for 2 years and I would hate to think of how much harder life would have been without Linton as a mate. He is a couple of years older than me, and always looked out for me. What was his was yours - you couldn't ask for a better mate. He had a bit of rough upbringing and doesn't have a lot of family, and what family he has are not wealthy by any means. A lot of the jobs I have worked in my life are jobs that Linton got me, he once even gave up a part time job to give it to me as I was unemployed. Linton is not the sort of person who asks for anything, but in this case he is forced to because his number one priority is his son and his sons ongoing care in the future.thanks everyone..just unbelievable i'm lost for words..i told lil linton we will get a car for his lawn mowing round for after he finishes school this year ..we have been working on this for awhile as he wanted to know if he could ever work and what he could do ...He is stoked thank you all
But enough said......any chance any of you could look upon this as your charitable donation for the month/year ? Like many people, I am not a fan of making a financial donation to someone because I dont know if they are genuine. Its staggering that a criminal drug addict can get 60k donated to him (ABC's Q and A last week) when there are genuine case like this that cant even raise $5000. I can only hope that people will make a donation based on my testimonial and that I have never made a request like this before. Any donation is gratefully accepted, I know not everyone is rich, $5 will help. If you are better off than many others, perhaps you could consider a larger donation ? You can make a BIG difference in young Linton's life.
I would also ask that those of you who are social media users help to try promote this via Facebook etc, it really would be very much appreciated.
Thanks for your consideration

Yeah...dun!
The fact that there's a highway to hell and a stairway to heaven says a lot about the anticipated traffic flow.

In hindsight I should have posted my Facebook status as: "I've blown the head gasket on my 1997 XR3i" rather than "I've just buggered a 14 year old escort".
The police still haven't seen the funny side, my lap top's been confiscated and the wife has gone off to her mum's.

Done.
When I was a kid, I used to have an imaginary friend. I thought he went everywhere with me. I could talk to him and he could hear me, and he could grant me wishes and stuff too. But then I grew up, and stopped going to church.

Admin,
I tried to contact you by PM but am unable to.
Having discovered numerous large unauthorised transactions on my credit card last week I am very reluctant to use it.
If you can suggest some way that I can donate by either bank deposit or Paypal, I am very happy to do so.
