    Default Lg 50pa6500-tf.aaullh

    Hi TV gurus.
    My mates plasma has sound but no picture.
    I've had a look in side and checked the two fuses on the PSU board.
    There are no visibly stressed parts.
    I know it's not much to go on but any advice is welcome.
    I've downloaded the service manual.

    I'd start with checking out the Y sustain, buffer boards and zsus for failure

    Check Va and VS first If they are good check -Vy on ysus usually across a resistor.If it missing it can mean buffer board failure.If still no -Vy ysus faulty.Some later LGs drop Vs after 10 seconds and if there are no shorts it can be real hard I mean tech support cant help you.
