    Update

    Toshiba Satellite L750 00U008

After spending all of yesterday trying once again to load the Network drivers, i got the LAN working, but no hope for the WiFi.
There are many threads on the net regarding this.
Even though i have that page above of Drivers to choose from.

Another wasted day because of Windows

Today, i have bit the bullet, Full Win7 Fresh Install (from USB)
At the Activation point.... Lets see how this all goes

Great, NO Network Adapters installed, No VGA Graphics Adapters installed.

Back to square one, but now with my valuable programs deleted, so i'll need to get the .dll files to get them going agin.

Windows.... Pfft, what a retarded heap of shit.

Anyone know how i can determine exactly what hardware i have in the laptop?
As there is multiple driver options on the Toshiba Driver page, depending on what hardware you have installed.

    The System Report shows:

Processor: AMD A4-3300M APU with Radium HD Graphics 1.90 Ghz
    Ram: 4Gb
    System Type: 32 Bit

So i guess that helps me in choosing the right Display Adaptors
But i cant seem to find what LAN and WIFI/BT hardware i have installed

    Thanks

EDIT: ok, looks like this is Radio Device: PA3894U-1MPC

It sounds like its more likely to be a strange hardware issue rather than a Windows related issue. I cant remember the last time I had to install drivers after a Windows installation, including Windows 7 on a Toshiba Satellite last week.

But of course every model of laptop, even from the same manufacturer, has different hardware in it.

Toshiba Satellite L750 00U008, AMD A4-3300M APU with Radium HD Graphics 1.90 Ghz
Presumably it has onboard graphics as well as the above ? Do you mean Radeon ? I have never heard of a Radium. Which one has the issue ? (edit : Its Radeon not Radium)

Does this sound like it ? (copy and paste from a forum)

    TOSHIBA
    MODEL NAME: Satellite L750D
    PART NO.: PSK36A-00U008

    My machine specs:
    500GB hard Disk Drive
    4GB Ram
AMD A4 CPU (mine is a dual core, your one is a 4 core if it is an A8)
1GB Video Ram (means nothing as on both machines it is shared memory from the main memory)

A real powerhouse if thats it

And here we go, this seems to be it :

    Specifications:

CPU: AMD A4-3300M APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics (1.9 GHz)
Operating System: Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium pre-installed
15.6 inch Widescreen HD LED Backlit display
    Resolution: 1366 x 768
    Memory: 4GB DDR3 RAM
    Storage: 500GB SATA HDD
AMD Radeon HD 6400M Graphics (1GB dedicated)
DVD SuperMulti Dual Layer Optical Drive
    Stereo speakers
    Webcam
Audio: Intel High Definition Audio Sound
    Expensions:

External Video Port: 1x HDMI, 1x VGA
    USB Ports: 3 x USB 2.0
Bridge Media Adaptor: Bridge media Reader/Writer (SD, MMC)
    Communications:

    LAN: 1Gbps LAN
    Wireless Communication: 802.11 (b/g/n)
    56Kbps Modem
    Accessories:

    Battery
    AC Adapter
    Power Cable

I would just do a Google for AMD Radeon HD 6400M Graphics driver (lots of places to download it). As to LAN, the Atheros LAN driver is the only driver on the page, so I would be presuming thats it.

Edit : You could also try Windows Update , it might find something.

Yes mate, sorry incorrect spelling. But you have the correct machine listed above.
Not much of a machine, but it came free and i've just been using it as an OFFLINE machine for Automotive Software.

UPDATE: So after a Fresh Install of Win7 and now Installing the Toshiba Driver, the Wifi Works again.

Thanks Windows, your Update when shutting down has only cost me 2 days to get thing right again and what ever time frame this thread has been started from

Thanks admin, your suggestion has ended up getting things sorted out.
It must have been a case of far too many conflicting drivers previously.

Download a copy of Driverpack Solution , burn it to CD and then run it.

In many years I haven't come across a computer for which it did not have all the drivers available.

Older copies are available from torrents.

Yes, makes it hard to work out what it is. But I wouldn't worry too much, you may eventually find out what it is when you go to use something and it wont work, it could be something like a memory card slot driver or something, when you find out what it is just install the driver for it from the Toshiba driver page you posted earlier.

Re: Cut and Paste, you are (presumably) running bog standard Windows 7. I would advise clicking on Windows Update, let it find all updates, then select "Windows Service Pack 1" (SP1) and install it (just that update). There was only ever one service pack released for Windows 7, so there wasnt a lot of problems and given that the link to the issue is over 6 years old, I doubt it existed after SP1.

You have to remember that Windows runs on computers from god knows how many different manufacturers (HP, Acer, Asus, Toshiba, Dell <insert 100's more>, using god knows how many different bits of physical hardware (AMD, Intel, Seagate, WD, American Instruments, Qualcomm <inset 100's more> .

Apple on the other hand dont allow any of their Operating Systems to run on anything but their own (extremely overpriced and locked down) computers, so its really not much of a challenge for them.

    Solved the Cut / Paste
No way i'm doing the Windows Updates, read my first post, that is how i got here in the first place

Yes, i understand Windows has to be a blanket solution for so many different types of Hardware.
Hence my point, and people bag Macs

I'm not even going to mention how hard its been getting the BMW Diagnostic Software and Drivers working again.
Haven't even started on the other vehicle makes

I re-read the first post and cant see how it applies in this case.

There are updates to almost everything if you leave auto updates on, and in your case, then connect it to the internet after using it offline will result in a ton of updates coming through. Realistically, this is more than likely where the problem started - An offline PC with an old older operating system finally connects to the internet and sets about updating...everything, ie, Internet Explorer, Windows Media Player <insert lots more>

Windows 7 Service Pack 1 is a single update, as I said, you can select it and it only. If you dont install it, well, it contains a number of pretty important security related updates. Most antivirus software will nag you to install it for security reasons. Your choice, but you will probably be back in a week asking to get a heap of viruses off or trying to recover your accounts from Russian hackers But your choice, pictures below if you do.

Unfortunately, unless you keep updates 'up-to-date' often some functionality drops off.

I hear you though... often updates add headaches and what used to work may not after an update as well.

One of those damned if you do and damned if you don't scenarios.

It's an amazing coincidence but since win 10 was released it has been a massive problem to get win 7 updates. I regularly reinstall win 7 on various computers and every time it is a giant pain in the arse. I'm sure it has nothing to do with Microsoft trying to get people over to Win 10...they would never do that, would they?

My problem is, i can not go newer than Win 7 for so many of these Automotive Programs.
In fact, Win XP is preferred.
