Default SKYPE, how to CANCEL an account that doesnt exist?

I got an email today from SKYPE telling me my account has been suspended which has me rather perplexed as I have NEVER had or used Skpe on this or any other computer.
I went to their website and I gave up trying to find a means to contact the company because without a Password I dont have makes it well nigh impossible to contact them.
The advising email was of no help as its a 'NoReply' type so I cant do a reply to sender.

I absolutely detest how these companies make it so hard to contact them.
I stand unequivicably behind everything I say , I just dont ever remember saying it !!

It's just another phishing scam, Gordon.

I hope you didn't click on any links in the email that would have taken you to a false Skype website, getting you to enter personal information.

It's no different from the Paypal, bank and credit card phishing scams.

For someone who receives such an email who actually does have an account, many are fooled into providing personal info when they 'log in' to a fake website, which the scammers then use, either to access the real accounts and/or steal the person's identity for other criminal uses.

It would appear he's on the scammer 'A' list, although I get my fair share of scam emails too, as I guess many people do.

Just ignore this shit......if you respond you just perpetuate the scam.

If there is NO WAY EVER that you opened an account (eg banking, email, skype, paypal etc) then its a scam.

Learn to ignore, make email rules to detect future scams and you wont even see the email in your inbox.

You did the right thing by posting though Gordon. Mum forwards me a piece of Spam every few months wondering if someone has made a mistake and emailed her about something legitimate. She picks spam a mile away but every now and then, it must be the wording, but one will cause her to question it. Which means the bastards have made first base at least.

Have you had anyone trying to give away $50,000,000 to you ? They usually say they're dying of some dreaded disease and picked you randomly.

I get right onto scams and viruses but this random pop up has me bamboozled ... AVG, Malwarebytes, Superantispyware and Spybot don't recognise it and skymesh knows nothing about it.
