    Default hp envy 4500 printer

    Hi
    i got hp printer and when i put the refilled cart into it its
    saying not hp cart.
    does anyone know how to bypass this.......

    Are you sure that everything is correct and not a loose cable? you should check carefully. Then there any other error message?

    Yep, I know and you are not going to be happy. HP have updated printer software and it will no longer take generic ink tanks that are not HP. Article claims Choice are challenging the legality of preventing you from using cartridges of your own choice
    Will post the link if i can find it again, moral of story is if you have an HP prevent it from doing an upgrade
    PS it is now going to cost you $5,821 per liter of ink

    techy21, have you the original disc, uninstall printer/ drivers etc and make sure that it is removed from devices
    Down load Revo Uninstaller, unistall using expert (be very careful) delete all traces from boxes (read warnings)
    Reinstall using original disc, make sure internet is disconnected, when installed try printer with new ink. Ensure that you block any over the air upgrades for the printer before you reconnect internet and see how you go
