What brand inverter?
Why are you measuring between poles?
Do you have an issue you are trying to resolve, what is it?
Hi all, I need help with a inverter issue. Is it normal to have the following voltages. Between the L & N 240v, L & E 109v and N & E 206v. The inverter is a 6000w/12000w peak pure sine wave. Thanks

Thanks for replying Tiny.
Its a Mishto 6000w/12000w pure sine wave. I wanted to know it i had to create a MEN system to run some appliances cheers.
Ah, Ok. yeah some inverters are wired MEN internally & others you have to wire to a MEN block then take off from there or add in a MEN loop at the inverter yourself if you know what you are doing.
My electrician did the later & another electrician is coming soon to add in a ELCB as my system is currently not ELCB protected.

I am not an electrician however, those voltages are similar to what my DoPower Inverter has (I can't remember exactly but they were probably lower and added up to 240v) . I would not make the inverter MEN as most cheap chinese inverters will let the smoke out.
There is a device called a RVD which can be used when both A and N are floating from Earth. There are different types and the one required would monitor both a and n to (chassis) earth and they disconnect if the voltage/current rises to dangerous levels .
In the ones I have seen the inside of, The earth pin is generally connected to nothing. The case of the inverter may be required to be bonded to (chassis) earth .
