    Default Yet another introduction

Hi All , into any & all things technical , especially electronics , been skulking around on Austech here n there for a while & decided to get serious , as I am serious about Electronics , mostly for work purposes but I have always been interested in Electronics since I watched the TV service man fix our old black n white Valve Philips TV set, when I was knee high to a grass hopper , and the spinny thing is that although back then I had no clue as to what he was doing! , many years later having followed the same path ! , I now know what he replaced !!! its like going back in time some how ? such was the imprint in my minds eye , at the ripe old age of 48 , I can still remember it like it was yesterday!!! , the guy was from Hills Telefix , so whoever he was/is ???? its all his fault ! LOL !.

    Cheers Paul.

Good one, Paul. I ended up in telecommunications after attempting to make my hair stand on end when trying to turn on a TV, who's power switch had died and we were waiting a replacement. The tech showed us which two wires to short and away I went. In hindsight, he should have just soldered them together and said, "use the wall switch". Or I might just have been curious and he answered my question, never expecting me to use that knowledge. I was about 10 at the time. Back then there was no such thing as circuit breakers, let alone RCDs.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...
