Makes no difference to me. I still get the same amount of daylight as any other day at any particular time of year.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...

Some get confused about which way to reset the clocks,
I remember one year my sister and brother-in-law arrived 2 hours late for church...of course, they'd all gone home by then...lol

Just remember it's forward going in, and, back coming out.

Lets say for 90% of the population it is an hour longer of natural light in the evening where it counts most.
I just wish they wouldn't switch back.
I would rather wake up in the dark and when I have free time after work it is still bright but getting dark alreay at 16:30 in winter just sucks.

For many DS is a bloody pain and I can accept it certainly doesnt suit everyone or some business' but for those like me when I was on shift work, I loved it.
Now I have retired I couldnt care less when a 'Day Starts' and like the Chooks we had a few years ago, its the weather that determines my daily activity.
I noted the Chooks were always ready to go forage as soon as it was light enough to see unless it was raining or very cold.
They stayed out until around an hour before Sunset Winter or Summer unless the day was bad.
I stand unequivicably behind everything I say , I just dont ever remember saying it !!

Bahahaha! Your parrots have a clock they can read or do they each have a wrist watch??

Jokes aside, my horses & chooks just go by the sunlight, they know exactly what time it is relative to the sun, clocks make no difference.
So yeah, I get it, you change your habits relative to the clock time & they don't get it, so training them to a new time is your choice.

I have got 5 parrots, 3 Princess Parrots who are generally quiet and well behaved, but also have 2 Quakers. One in particular is possibly the most annoying bird on earth. They have covers on their cages at night (actually old doonas) so you would think that you wouldn't hear a word from her until I take it off.

    Wrong.

5.30am is when she wants to get up. She screams until I get out of bed....every day of the year. And every year at daylight savings time, I have to do 2 weeks of trainings to "retune" her

It doesnt help that at this time of the year its nesting season. While the Quakers dont lay (I thank god regularly for this), the 3 female Princess parrots do. The tamest (hand raised by me from only a few hours old) has laid 5 eggs and tries to rip my arm off when I change the food. Out of the other 2, one has not laid at all, but the other one has laid 2 eggs....in 2 separate food bowls.

Its nutsville here at this time of year

    Opening post?

If you mean this thread, it's last year's thread... 2016.

Gordon revived it and everyone has continued posting in it.

Back then I made a mistake by posting DS was due to start the coming weekend and if you read the next post by MTV, he has corrected it.
I decided not to remove the erroneous post partly because DST was due to start soon anyway.

    Not worth discussing further.
